The Theory Test is separated into two parts, firstly multiple choice questions, there are 50 of these each with between 4 and 6 possible answers some may ask for more than one answer, you must score 43 out of 50 to pass this section of the Theory Test The second part is a Hazard Perception Test this test is a series of 14 video clips of actual situations you may encounter during normal driving It is filmed from the perspective of the driver and in each clip there are several potential hazards one of which will develop into a hazard that will cause you to take evasive action. In one clip there will be 2 potential hazards that develop. You must score at least 44 out of 75 to pass this section of the Theory Test You must pass both parts to successfully pass your Theory Test Below is a mock theory test, the questions are a good indication of the type of questions you will be asked on the day in your Theory Test This will help you revise for your Theory Test however you are still advised to read your Highway Code and other materials available such as Driving the Essential Skills |
